A Kumasi Circuit Court has remanded into prison custody two men over the theft of a flat screen television and mobile phone.
Emmanuel Akalu, 20, and Precious Kuufaar 23, are facing charges of conspiracy, unlawful entry and stealing.
The suspects are also charged for possession of a locally-manufactured pistol without authority.
The pair, pleaded not guilty and were ordered to make their next appearance on Tuesday, December 27.
Their accomplice, whose name was only given as Zimbora is however on the run.
Police Inspector Benjamin Owusu-Agyemang told the court, presided over by Mrs. Mary Nsenkyire, that they broke into a room at Yenyanwoso, a suburb of Kumasi to steal the items on November 05, at about 01:30 hours.
A witness in the case, raised the alarm and that attracted people in the neighbourhood, who helped to arrest one of them – Akalu.
The prosecutor said a locally made pistol, a Samsung mobile phone and an 18-inch flat screen television were seized from him.
Kuufaar and Zimobora managed to slip through but the former was later tracked down to his Buokrom hideout where he was arrested.
