A local governance expert Mr. William Kwame Fordjour has entreated in-coming appointees who will be given the opportunity to serve in the Akufo-Addo led government to eschew traits of arrogance.
He admonished them to be accountable and work within their powers to uphold the values of humility and modesty.
Making the call through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi, he said the mistakes of the out-going political administration must never be repeated.
It was important to recognize that Ghanaians would not forgive anybody who disrespected and took them for granted.
Mr. Fordjour urged them to focus on the job of making things better for the people.
He noted that the task ahead of them was enormous expressing hope that with integrity, hard work and passion for success every difficulty could be surmounted.
He called on the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to act boldly to make corruption unattractive, suggesting that all corrupt public officials should be punished.
This, he indicated, was the way to go to make sure that the nation’s resources were protected and properly applied to transform the living conditions of the people.
Mr. Fordjour appealed to everybody to conduct themselves well to prevent needless post-election violence.
