Ghanaian Hip-Life musician King Paluta is confident of winning the ultimate at next year’s Ghana Music Awards but remains modest on his chances.
King Paluta believes he has made a fine case to be named the Artiste of the Year with the work he has done this year.
Speaking to renowned TV presenter Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show, the “Makoma” hitmaker outlined the hit songs he has released this year and all the work he has done in 2024.
He remained confident of winning major awards next year for his work but says he doesn’t want to be overconfident and is open to all possible outcomes.
It could happen but I don’t want to brag. I want to stay humble. Some people say I should boast when I speak, but I prefer to keep it humble all the time.

Artiste of the Year criteria
According to the Ghana Music Awards category definition, the Artiste of the Year is the Artiste adjudged by the Academy, Board, and the General Public as the artiste with the highest audience appeal and popularity in the year under review. The artiste must have released a hit single, EP, or album and must be one of the artistes with the highest nominations in the year under review.
King Paluta has at least three monster hits and chart-topping records to his name this year – “Makoma,” “Aseda,” and “For The Popping.” He also released his much-anticipated album dubbed “Give Me Some Time.”
This, he believes makes him the favourite to win the topmost honour.
I know I can win, just like I won the New Artiste of the Year. This year who has really delivered the biggest hits? I’m not saying others haven’t released good music, but who is reigning? King Paluta.
The artiste enjoyed his best year in terms of hit records in his 15 years of doing music and performed on some of the biggest stages locally and globally.
