Egyptian authorities have reportedly arrested a Russian dancer for alleged "incitement to debauchery" after a video of her performing a dance in a Cairo club which is thought to be provocative became viral.
According to Africanspotlight.com, Ekaterina Andreeva also known as "Gawhara" is seen in the video wearing a revealing lace dress while dancing in a sensual manner.
Police sources have been reported as saying the belly dancer is currently in their custody and processes are underway to deport her back to Russia, because she reportedly did not have valid documents to live in Egypt, let alone to work in the Northeastern African country.

Ekaterina Andreeva could have avoided her predicaments if she had done a little due diligence on the history and stance of Egypt on issues of indecency and what her fellow artistes have had to suffer in the past.
For instance, in December last year, a 21-year-old Egyptian known as Shyma was sentenced to two years imprisonment after a video clip of her performing a dance that was thought to be indecent and could incite debauchery became public.
Reports also suggested that a female dancer was jailed to a year in 2015 for "inciting debauchery".
