A music and movie CD dealer, identified as Abdul Aziz, was caught up in the collapse, with the mast landing directly on him.
The deceased was reportedly going about his routine business when the mast fell on his container shop and completely knocked him out.
As a result he suffered severe injuries and later died at the Effia-Nkwanta regional Hospital where he was receiving medical attention.
The collapsed mast is reported to have also destroyed a Toyota car parked on the side of the road.

The mast, erected on a four story building just around the crowded Takoradi Kojokrom Lorry terminal, is owned by Glo Ghana.
However, the telecommunication giants have refused to comment on the incident, opting to refer the case to their lawyers.
