MzVee’s big break in the Ghanaian music industry begun with her releasing hit songs in the dancehall genre.

Ghanaian female artist MzVee has said that she should not be categorized as a dancehall artist.

Since then she has had several songs in dancehall hence the categorization of her as a dancehall artist.

 

However speaking in an interview on Vibes in Five the “Daavi” hitmaker said she should not be simply considered as a dancehall artist but rather she should be seen as a musician.

She said although she has a lot of songs in dancehall, she has also produced songs in several other genres and her diversity makes her more of a musician.

"I consider myself a musician. When I started music I was doing dancehall but if you look at my album, I have three albums. I always said I did mainly dancehall but I did other genres but I started with mainly Dancehall. When you listen to my albums I have other genres so I call myself a musician," she said.
