REVIEW
Botcho is not an ingredient but rather an Ivorian slag for big butt or buttocks.
The desire for big bottom by ladies was made popular by two disc jockies called DJ Mix and Eloh DJ with their song titled the Bobaraba (big bottom) dance.
A self-acclaimed doctor is the inventor for butt enhancement creams which he says he makes out of natural ingredients. Jean Claude Zoh, popularly called Dr Zoh claims to have inherited his knowledge from his grandparents and is the answer to prayers of women.
Media portrayal of the ideal female body type to get any man she wants is accentuated by firm breast, tiny waist and a big bum (hour glass figure). And to reinforce this ideology, celebrities go through all kinds of procedures to achieve this feat. There has been a lot of products on the market promising to help women to look “good”.
There are slimming teas, detox teas, slimming pills, diet programs and creams. Others who would want immediate results go in for the cosmetic surgery.

Popular among these products is the botcho cream. This is widely patronized by the masses as it is seen as a safer alternative to pills and surgery. This is propounded by a lot of myths surrounding this magical cream that has been positioned to solve the bodies of women. After all these believes the question which is in every woman mind is; is it safe?
Since its introduction into the market there has only been good reviews and referrals. Strange right? No user-experienced side effects, minimal customer regrets and very little product returns. So if we are to go online basically we get the impression that is has no side effects.
Let’s take a look at some ingredients which appears to resonate with all brands of this wondrous cream. Botcho cream claims to make use of only natural ingredients. The main ingredient which I came across is Maca or Pueraria Mirifica. This natural herb is said to contain the highest phytoestrogenic activity found in nature. This is a potent plant-based estrogen which rounds out the hips and increases fat storage on the butt. Other ingredients are Volufiline (which is made from a combination of the sarsasapogenin from Zhi Mu and hydrogenated polyisobutene) and Voluplus (also made from macelignan). Basically what these ingredients do is to produce more fat cells by division of existing fat cells in the buttocks and hip area. These fat cells are then stimulated to increase its storage capacity. Giving the bum and hip area a definite increase in size.

From all this I noticed that the key hormone released to these target areas is estrogen. Estrogen is the hormone which is known to be responsible for the secondary changes in females during puberty like wide hips. Mind you the body regulates this super hormone as little or too much is detrimental to health. The ingredients in botcho is known to increase the secretion of this hormone which could lead to estrogen dominance. Some symptoms or side effects of estrogen dominance are weight gain, hair loss, headache, bloating, cold feet and hands, mood swings difficulty with memory, decreased sex drive and irregular menstrual periods.
Even though there has been no direct relationship between cancer and butt enlargement. But it can’t be ruled out as the working mechanism is the division and multiplication of cells (abnormal growth) which is associated with tumors and cancer. Also breast cancer and ovarian cyst is associated with high levels of estrogen. And even though most of these creams advertise decrease in abdominal weight, increased estrogen levels is associated with abdominal weight gain.
Taking the view of an authority on this product, Mr P. K. Agyeman-Duah, Head of Drug Inspectorate of the Food and Drugs Board (FDB) told The Spectator that creams and soaps supposedly meant for breast and hip enlargement are all fake and have no scientific proof of providing what has been labelled on the packets. He said these are smuggled into the country and most of these do not have labels to indicate the name of manufacturer, ingredients etc. or if they do its not in English. If the ingredients have not been listed, it is best to avoid it.
But remember we all have different body types and all that matters is you being comfortable in your own body. There are other options like exercise and diet to help shape and tone up the body.
So there we have it, hope this review helps. Don’t forget to leave a comment or share your experience.
