Aboyeji is the only Nigerian on the list
Nigerian innovator Iyinoluwa Aboyeji has been named on the influential Forbes 30 under 30 list for 2018.
The 26 year old Aboyeji has co-founded two successful startups in Africa before launching Flutterwave in 2017. With $15.7 million in funding, the payments company is empowering Pan-African merchants to execute business on global scale, processing $1.2 billion in transactions so far.
Aboyeji’s previous startup Andela, gained attention when the venture received $24 million in funding from Mark Zuckerberg and also recently won another $40million from angel investors.
The Forbes list is considered among the most prestigious in the world and this year featured 600 visionaries from over 20 industries.
Other Africans who made the list include teenage Ugandan actress, Madine Nalwanga and Ghanaian actor Kofi Siriboe
