A youth group and grass root supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) calling itself Spio-Gabrah Fan Club (SGFC) have thrown their unflinching support behind Mr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah to lead the party ahead of the 2020 general elections.
The group clearly believes that Spio Garbrah is best suited for the position as flagbearer to lead the party.

The group described Dr. Spio-Gabrah as the only compromise candidate whose endorsement could cement the victory for the NDC.
However, Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah said he is still in consultation with the grass root of the party and will soon announce his intention to contest in the presidential race.

He has denied giving indications of contesting the flagbearership position when the party open nominations for interested members in 2018.
