“As we speak, six people dead due to this fire,” he told Citi News.
According to him, his team is still on the ground and at the hospitals where some of the victims were sent so as to get the total number of casualties.. “Until we are able to reconcile the number, six are so far dead," he said.
About 200 police officers and 12 fire tenders were deployed to douse the fire which stated around 7:30pm at a Goil filing station and spread to a Total petrol station across the street at Atomic Junction.

The gas explosion is the second to have rocked the nation following the June 3 fire and flood disaster about 120 people seeking shelter at a Goil filing station at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle.
