The Cranes of Uganda suffered a 1-2 defeat against Madagascar in front of their home fans on Wednesday at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo ahead of their clash against Ghana.
The Cranes of Uganda who have a tie against Ghana on Friday took on Madagascar in a preparatory game for the 2018 World Cup qualifier, but the results turned out to be an unfavourable one.
Muzamiru Mutyaba registered the opener for the Cranes after 28 minutes as Uganda took control of the game in 45 minutes of the exchanges.

Four minutes into the second stanza of the game, referee Mashood Ssali awarded the visiting side a penalty after Ina Faneva Andriatsina was brought down in the area by Wadada.

Uganda are lying second in group E which has Ghana, Egypt and Congo and a win would brighten their chances of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup, depending on the outcome of the Egypt-Congo tie and even the last day of the qualifiers could also decide their fate.
