The Blues boss says the Ghana midfielder gave him ‘his word’ only to sign for the Turkish club.
Birmingham City boss Harry Redknapp has revealed his bewilderment at Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu’s move to Turkish club Bursaspor.
According to him, the Ghana midfielder assured him he was going to join his outfit during a telephone interview, only to later sign for the Turkish side.

Badu signed a one-year loan deal with Bursaspor from Serie A club Udinese, despite serious interest from English trio Swansea City, Huddersfield and Birmingham City.
The 27-year-old was initially thought to be moving to Birmingham City after meeting their manager Harry Redknapp for talks.
But after seeing the former Berekum Chelsea anchorman move to the Turkish Super Lig, Redknapp says he has been surprised by the midfielder’s decision.
The former Tottenham boss told talkSPORT: “I did a deal the other day for a lad from Udinese – Badu – a Ghanaian boy and top midfield player. I drove to Huddersfield to watch him play.”

“It took me six-and-a-half hours to get to Huddersfield, met him after and then spoke to him two days ago and he gave me his word on the phone that he wanted to play for me. “
"He is a really good player. His value is £6million and we were going to loan him for a year. I wake up the next morning and he has signed for a Turkish club!”
Badu made 161 Serie A appearances for Udinese during his seven years at the club, scoring 10 goals.
