Pulse Sports presents the Ghana Premier League team for match day 21
The players below were the best performers in their respective positions on match day 21 of the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Ben Mensah
The former New Edubiase United goalie made several crucial saves when Hearts of Oak suffered a 0-1 defeat at Bechem United. Hadn’t been Mensah the Phobians could have conceded more than a goal in the game.
Amos Frimpong
The Asante Kotoko skipper was part of Steve Polac’s three back when they edged Medeama SC 3-1 on Sunday. He augmented the defence of his side and joined the attack when necessary to give Kotoko much attacking bite up front.
Joseph Laweh
He was instrumental in starting the attack of Tema Youth especially in their quest to rally back from two early goals conceded against Ebusua Dwarfs. Laweh was very quick to retreat whenever they came under attack from the visitors, yet the harbours boys lost 2-1 at home.
Stephen Anoky Badu
He was the heart of the Aduana Stars defence and he did all the dangerous clearances from the vital area of the hosts, especially playing without his regular centre pair Wahab Adams. Anokye Badu was made very bust at the back, yet he stood the test of time to help the Dormaa boys win 2-1 against Liberty Professionals.

Nicholas Opoku
The Black Stars defender commanded the Berekum Chelsea defence very well especially playing against a well determined Inter Allies side that had a lot of new faces. Opoku gave the Inter Allies marksman Abdul Hudu close marking.
Simon Zibo
The Liberty Professionals midfielder out-boxed the compact Aduana Stars midfielders, namely Elvis Opoku and Zakaria Mumuni. Simon Zibo won several 50-50 balls and his creativity in distributing the balls was amazing.
Saddick Haji Abubakar
The holding midfielder of Bechem United sitting in front of the centre backs made things very difficult for the Hearts midfielders, especially Malik Akkowuah. Abubakar was adjudged the man of the match
Emmanuel Gymafi
He was in his usual best with his runs along the flanks and he was in deed a thorn in the flesh of the Medeama defenders. Gyamfi provided an assist to one of the three goals Kotoko scored, making him provide assist for the third consecutive time.
Bernard Arthur
He was demonstrated his workaholic ability on the field. Arthur even had to move to support the defence and his positioning in front of goal was spot on. He got the opener in Olympics 2-0 win over Wa All Stars and subsequently won the man of the match award.

Ahmed Toure
His goal from the spot kick broke the hearts of Accra Hearts of Oak. Aside that he was busy throughout the game, giving the Hearts of Oak defence a lot of work to do.
Nicholas Gyan
Gyan registered the opening goal as Ebusua Dwarfs handed Tema Youth a 1-2 defeat in Tema. The goal has increased his goal tally to 11, making remain as the sole leading top scorer of the season after match day 21.
