Pulse Sorts has revisited the story of India beating Ghana 100-1 in the past in an international game, after the Black Starlets were drawn in the same group with India in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup
Every Ghanaian who had football at heart was told the story that Ghana were thrashed 100-1 in the olden days by India in a football competition.
Ghanaians have the believe that Indians have a lot of magic powers and use it in all facets of life, so they were aided by some unseen hands to put 100 goals past Ghana.
The story is narrated that during the match the ball for the game turned into a metal sauce pan whenever the Black Stars were in possession of the ball, hence they couldn’t shoot or kicked.

The story is further narrated that the only goal Ghana scored came from the foot of Wilberforce Mfum, who decided to shoot, despite the ball turning into a metal sauce pan and as a result died. Some say it ended his football career.
Elders who told this story added that, it is the reason why India for years were not playing in active international football, because FIFA banned them for using magic powers to influence the outcome of soccer matches.
However, Pulse sports can say with much certainty that such a game never happened and it was just a myth.
India were never banned from football for using magic, but it is just that they have been struggling to make any impact in football because they hardly qualify for international competitions.
India would forever, regret for blowing away an opportunity to play in the FIFA World Cup in 1950. India who qualified for the 1950 World Cup in Brazil, insisted they wanted to use their bare foot to play the tournament and because FIFA prevented them, they pulled out of the competition on that premise. As if it brought a curse on them they have never qualified for the FIFA World Cup since then.
Ghana have an opportunity to stage a real battle with India the host nation of the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in the same group that has India and Colombia.
