The striker - who is on the verge of joining Manchester United - was arrested by cops in LA for 'disturbing the peace'
Manchester United‘s incoming signing Romelu Lukaku was arrested by cops in Los Angeles for disturbing the peace at his rented mansion in Beverley Hills, it has emerged.
According to American news outlet TMZ Sports, the striker - who Manchester United have reached a£75million fee to sign from Everton - 'was not brought to the police station or formally booked'. Instead, he was 'merely given a citation'.
Lukaku is said to have held a big party last weekend on July 2 that caused a series of noise complaints in the surrounding area.
Despite the police callouts it is reported the striker did not turn the volume down and was then arrested for ‘disturbing the peace’.
The Premier League giants confirmed on Saturday morning that a deal had been agreed with Everton over the transfer of the striker.
And the Belgian is now set to undergo a medical in LA and sign off on personal terms before completing a move to Old Trafford for an initial fee believed to be £75million.
