Comedian Kwame A-Plus has announced his interest towards becoming the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the Gomoa Central District.

This information came at an opportune time for the former musician as the former chairman, Benjamin Kojo Otoo was promoted to the position of District Chief Executive of the district.
A-Plus laid the groundwork towards his candidacy in 2000 and 2001 with the release of his album “Freedom of Speech” and in recent times the 2016 elections which saw him strongly rooting for the current party in power.
He further expressed on his social media the need to stand behind President Nana Addo and seeing to it that the current government succeeds.

He also believes that he is the man to accomplish the task at hand in the district.
Many have expressed a level of concern on social media for A-Plus concerning his bid.
Observers were quick to point out that A Plus did not have the thick skin it required to become a politician.
He responded that he indeed had the wit it took to stand the political pressures that came his way.
He further indicated that he was ready and very willing to take on any of the political trolls that came his way.
