Rapper Yaa Pono's manager, Ashley Brobbey is reported to have been allegedly assaulted by some fans of Shatta Wale at the just ended "Sala Carnival" which took place in Kosoa, Central Region.
In a video which surfaced online today, Ashley Brobbey was spotted recording Yaa Pono's performance. Ponobiom then dropped his diss song to Shatta Wale titled "Gbee Naabu" and a few seconds into the song, Ashley was heard yelling having been slapped from behind.
Speaking to Pulse.com.gh, Ashley alleged that it was Shatta Wale's fans who caused the commotion and that, it was a planned thing.
"All I know was it was a planned thing," Ashley Brobbey alleged.
Narrating the incident, Ashley told Pulse.com.gh that, "Pono was performing 'Gbee Naabu' when some land guards stormed the stage to stop him from performing the song. So, I made an attempt to protect him and in the process got slapped from behind.
"I later moved him into his car to drive him off but still had some of the fans smashing the car."
"I am told the leader of the land guards is the Asafo Aste (Youth organiser) of the area in Kasoa," he added.
According to Ashley, the police were not present at the event to put the incident under control.
