A taxi driver suspected to be in his mid-20s has been found dead in his vehicle Monday morning at Sowutuom around the Pentecost University in Accra.

Residents in the town told Accra-based Starr FM that the assailants wanted to snatch the vehicle from the driver in the course of the journey after they had hired his services.

The residents believe that the taxi driver may have refused to give them the car, a move which angered the assailants.
The assailants allegedly stabbed him instead and took away his car battery and money he had on him.
Residents say they are now living in fear.
Meanwhile, police in Sowutuom have launched investigations into the incident.
