His comments come on the back of a feud between Mr Naabu and Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Ms Otiko Afisa Djaba.
The acting General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has rubbished claims of bribery allegations against the Northern Regional Chairman of the party, Daniel Bugri Naabu.
“When I was Youth Organiser, when you go round, by the time you return the goats and guinea fowls would have filled your pick-up. How can you say you will not accept a gift?” he said.

Mr Bugri Naabu on Friday disrupted a meeting called by Ms Djaba in Tamale after accusing the minister of attempting to cause confusion over the appointment of a Coordinator of School Feeding Programme.

The Minister subsequently in an interview accused Mr. Bugri Naabu of collecting money, goats, cows and other things from people with the assurance of jobs with the National School Feeding Programme.
But Mr Boadu said it would not make any sense for any individual to gift goats and sheep in order to gain favour from a party official to be appointed as an MCE.
According to him, party officials “have no authority” to appoint people for such positions because “the decision maker is the president and all the people [involved] are just consultation”.
“It can never happen that a gift of goats will determine the appointment of any position as MMDCE,” he told Accra-based Asempa FM.
He, however, described the argument between Mr Naabu and Ms Djaba as unfortunate, adding that the case will be dealt with by the party.
