AMA expands business to Ivory Coast

African Media Agency (AMA), a pan-African public relations agency has announced the opening of an office in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) to support its rapid growth and meet the demand of the country’s business environment. 

Besides the presence of AMA in Dubai, New York, Kampala, Johannesburg and Lagos, Abidjan new office expands its footprint on the world’s second continent of rapid growth after Asia.

“After years of political turmoil and civil conflicts, economic life takes force in Côte d’Ivoire. Opening an office here in Abidjan, a city of the African Development Bank, is a perfectly logical decision, “said Gaëlle Thisse, Director General of WADA.

According to the latest edition of the “World Economic Outlook” published by the IMF, the economy of Côte d’Ivoire enjoys the fastest growth in Africa. Forecasts indicate that GDP should grow by 8.5% this year.

This accelerated economic growth motivated the implementation of several large companies, such as Nestle, MTN, Orange, Olam, etc. The economic dynamics and strategic position of the Ivory Coast have been instrumental in the choice of the new WADA office.

“The presence of some of the largest companies in the country, the role of the Ivory Coast within WAEMU and the proximity of Ghana and Nigeria will continue to support the development of relationships with existing and new customers, which want to increase their share of voice in West Africa, “said Gaëlle Thisse.

Since 2014, WADA has supported dozens of companies, NGOs and international organizations to communicate on the African continent. WADA has issued more than 700 press releases, organized 120 interviews with the media, including the New York Times, the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, and influential media agencies of the continent, and signing partnership agreements with some of the greatest actors and media market news aggregators.

WADA plans to double its capacity over the next two years, by recruiting 10 people and opening other offices in the mainland.
