German football giants, Borussia Dortmund has announced that Peter Bosz will be the new manager of the club.
The club announced the appointment, that will last till 2019, in a tweet via their official Twitter handle with a promise to give further details in a press conference to be held later in the day. The former Ajax boss will replace Thomas Tuchel who left the club last month.
Ajax received €5 million for compensation in order to buy out his contract. It was a record buyout of a head coach for a German club, breaking the previous record of €4 million.
Peter Bosz gained a solid reputation in the big leagues after he impressively managed a young Ajax side to a second-placed finish in the Eredivise and the final of the Europa League which they lost to Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
Before this appointment, Bosz had managed Heracles, Vitesse and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
