Mrs Victoria Ametefe, the Sekondi -Takoradi Metropolitan Coordinator of Examination has cautioned candidates writing this year’s BECE not to use the rains as an excuse and report late to examination centres .
“Regardless of the rains, the examination will not be postponed or unduly delayed…report and sit down by 0830 hours every morning”. she stressed.
Mrs Ametefe gave the advice when she spoke to the GNA in a telephone interview on the preparedness of the Metropolis for the BECE which began on Monday June 5.
In all 7588 candidates would be writing this year’s BECE examination in the Metropolis.
She said a total of 20 centres would be used with 20 supervisors and 29 assistant supervisors.
The examination coordinator said 98 public schools and 91 private schools would be writing the examination with 255 invigilators.
