Papaye Fast Foods has celebrated its 25th Anniversary celebration in a grand-style over weekend ; with its corporate vision of becoming the brand leader in the integrated hospitality in Ghana.
The Company also has unquenchable vision of providing affordable , quality food and services to the general; and also playing a meaningful role in the promotion of tourism and the Ghanaian culture as well.
The Executive Chairman and founder of Papaye Fast Foods, Dr Samir Kalmoni, who was speaking during the 25th anniversary ceremony, in the Eastern Region at Papaye Recreational Village , stated that in order to build a resilient economy; there is a need for the government to put stringent measures in place in order to help address water and energy crisis in the country which collapsing businesses.
This he, would enable the the companies operating in the country to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic development of the country.
According to the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Devine Asiedu, the anniversary also paved way for the company to reward its staff , media and individuals who supported the company in a diverse ways to distinguished itself from other fast foods companies in the country.
” In 2013 the National Tourism Awards conferred our Chairman Kalmoni a Life Time Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to the development and promotion of tourism in Ghana.
Same year Payeye Fast Foods won the Restaurant of the year. This category we have won in 1999, 2002 , 2006 and 2014.
We were adjudged the best restaurant in the Greater Accra Region in 2016. This award we have won uncountable times over the years.
In 2012, 2013, 2013 we were adjudged to be the best in the collection and payment of the 1% Tourism Levy by the Ghana Tourism Authority.”, he disclosed.
Adding that, as part of the 25th Anniversary(Silver Jubilee) celebration , they have unveiled a new logo, to depict their intention of exploring beyond Ghana and Africa.
Over the years, Papaye has contributed significantly to social development of various institutions and individuals.
Mr. Asiedu, noted that they have made a donation of cash, food and laundry items to the Osu Children’s Home and the Tema SOS Children’s Village, rewarding over 1000 school children during an event dubbed: “Our Day” Special for academic excellence .
The leading Fast Foods company has also supported the University of Ghana needy fund , the Ghana Tourism Awards, Accra Carnival , Farmers Day Celebration, National Blood Bank (Blood Donation) various festivals , awarding brilliant pupils for academic excellence and feeding the needy in society.
“We will have a blood a Blood Donation Exercise with the National Blood Bank and wish to encourage all of you to support his initiative.
We shall crown the anniversary celebration with a super mammoth Thanksgiving Service”, he stated.
