Some communicators for the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Ashanti region are on warpath with the hierarchy of their party.
They insist on a meeting with former President John Dramani Mahama.
The Ashanti Regional NDC Media Monitors Association, represented by their Chairman Abdullahi Abdul Latif (Julius Agahowa) tells rawgist.com that they are boycotting all activities of the party in about two weeks if they do not get the opportunity to meet the former President.
“For sometime now, even before the NDC lost power, some big men within the party always prevent us from meeting JM. We have serious grievances we want to talk about at the highest levels. These big men give JM and the party bigwigs the impression that all is well and that they are taking good care of us, but that is far from true”, he revealed.
The Media monitors say they keep sacrificing their all for the party but their welfare has been hanging precariously, a situation they can no longer countenance.
They also say they want to know “the way forward” for the party.
The Media Monitors comprise largely of a group of political activists referred to generally as serial callers who contribute to political discourse in favor of their party on radio and television programmes via phones and sometimes their physical presence.
