Mr Thaddeus Arkum Aasoglenang, Nandom District Chief Executive, has said that Nandom has a rich human capital base and there is no need to fail the people in attaining stated developmental objectives.
Mr Aasoglenang, who was recently confirmed as the District Chief Executive, appealed to all “Nandome” to make their expertise available for the rapid development of the district.
“The development challenges in the district are many and related to education, health, agriculture, water supply, sanitation, infrastructure, poverty and security”, he said.
Mr Aasoglenang pledged to provide the needed leadership in the district for the achievement of all the planned projects envisioned and captured in the New Patriotic Party’s manifesto.
He said his vision is to help improve major roads in Nandom, ensure the expansion of electricity and water supply, embark on households latrine construction, improve school infrastructure, collaborate with security agencies to reduce crime and support for health improvement in the district.
“My dream is also to construct the Nandom Community Centre, establish a network with non- governmental organisations to support development”.
Mr Aasoglenang said specific flagship investments such as the “one village one dam and one district one factory” projects would be pursued to boost agricultural production.
Mr Braimah Iddrisu Wikana, Lambussie District Chief Executive, said he was going to be a district chief executive for all and would work to maximise both human and material resources to enhance development.
He said his administration would ensure that people in the district benefited from government’s agricultural interventions to produce more food for export.
