NEW DELHI — Heavy rain accompanied with thunderstorm and high-speed winds Saturday killed four people including a woman and injured two others in India’s northeastern state of Tripura, officials said.

LONDON — A suspected gas explosion has caused a building to collapse on the Wirral in Merseyside of northwestern England, injuring a number of people, local reports said on Saturday.

DAMASCUS — At least 22 people were killed Saturday by airstrikes on rebel-held areas in the eastern countryside of the capital Damascus, a monitor group reported.
The airstrikes targeted several areas in the rebel-held Eastern Ghouta area on the eastern outskirts of Damascus, as part of the government forces counter offensive against the rebels’ major attacks on the capital. (Syria-Airstrikes)

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon said on Saturday the U.S.-led coalition recently launched an airstrike on a site in Iraq where dozens of civilians were allegedly killed.
“An initial review of strike data from March 16-23 indicates that, at the request of the Iraqi Security Forces, the Coalition struck ISIS fighters and equipment, March 17, in West Mosul at the location corresponding to allegations of civilian casualties,” U.S. Central Command said in a statement. RABAT — Morocco’s PM Saadeddine El Othmani announced on Saturday the formation of a new governmental coalition.
