There has been a conversation between Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo and Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah on Tuesday, Joy Sports can confirm.
Contrary to earlier reports that Appiah was at the Jubilee House, Joy Sports can report that the president spoke to Appiah on phone.
The president asked about the current happenings on the Black Stars, notably the shock retirement of skipper Asamoah Gyan.
Gyan claims there are attempts to take the captain’s armband away from him hence his retirement barely a month to the start of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
