BoG expected to circulate upgraded Ghana cedi notes on Monday

The Bank of Ghana is on Monday expected to issue upgraded and security-enhanced banknotes into circulation. 

According to a statement issued by Central Bank last month the banknotes will have enhanced security features in line with evolving changes in the technological landscape.

But with all the changes, the following features will remain the same:

“The Bank therefore entreats the public to know the cedi and keep it clean,” the statement concluded.
