Ghanaian dancer Michael Amofa, known as Incredible Zigi, says ‘Kupe’ hitmaker A-Star has not given him due credit.
The social media dancer, who generated the dance moves and challenge called ‘Kupe’, believes his contribution to making A-Star’s song ‘Kupe’ become a global hit has not been rewarded by the Ghanaian-UK based artiste who he calls a friend.
He tells JoyNews’ MzGee that he got in touch with A-Star for a soundtrack after he developed the dance.
“I came up with this dance step called ‘Kupe’ so he is my friend out there in the UK so I said my G can you just try making a song for my dance because I am known for creating dance steps, I already created one dance step called Pilolo which went viral, even Janet Jackson did it?” he said.
Unfortunately, Incredible Zigi is disappointed his friend who he recounts has benefited immensely from his ‘Kupe’ challenge which got massive participation across the globe, including the four French hunks and American singer Janet Jackson participation is yet to acknowledge his input.
“Actually he has not really given me that kind of credit I deserve. He has been to Berlin, he has been to France, he is right now in the US, he is touring, he has got like 8million views on the Kupe song but he has not given me anything,” he said.
“I tried to reach out to him but he was like he cannot do anything right now because right now, he just blew so he cannot do much,” Incredible Zigi noted.
