Engage Now Africa (ENA), a champion in adult literacy and human development initiatives, has trained and passed out 40 adult literates in Assin Fosu in the Central Region.
The graduates, after intensive one-year training, were able to read and write in English, do basic arithmetic and exhibited proficiency in a number of vocational skills like soap making among others.
The graduates were drawn from ENA’s adult literacy training centres from Assin Praso, Assin Foso, Assin Fosu Canna and Assin Praso, all communities in the Central Region.
At an event to celebrate the milestone of the adult literacy programme on February 7, 2019, a retired teacher, Ernest Obeng Nyarko, urged the graduands to use the skills they have acquired to improve their businesses and lives.

ENA champions efforts to strengthen individuals, families, and communities through a myriad of activities.
The NGO’s many activities to end poverty through adult education, provision of microloans, self-support assistance, provision of clean water and sanitation, medical services, orphan support, and eradication of modern forms of slavery has been unrelenting over the years.
