Eighteen pastors had the privilege of being ordained on Saturday, December 15 at Liberty Church’s Headquarters at Gbawe in Accra.
The ordination is in line with Jesus’ command to Christians to go out to preach the Gospel in all parts of the world.
Twelve other people also availed themselves for matriculation. This comes at a good place where the fold of Christ is still gaining flock to go out into the world to serve.
Rev. Charles Appah of the ICGC touched on Mark 3: 15-18. He emphasized the need for the newly ordained pastors to keep true to the Word, the Church and themselves.
Touching on the theme “The Higher Calling,” he spoke on the authority that has been placed in man to do wonders. He admonished that this authority given to the newly ordained and matriculated pastors should not abused no matter the circumstances.
He further stated that “The Higher Calling is to serve man of all kinds and classes. Humility should also be a trademark to enable them uphold the new authority that has been given to them.”
Commodore Samuel Anim Wiredu, Rev. Joe Gyamfi, Rev. Eugene Asiedu Atakora, Rev. Benjamin Gyamfi, Rev. Joseph Ampadu Antwi, Rev. Victoria Quartey and Rev. Mrs. Lydia Anim Nketia were some dignitaries who graced the occasion.
Liberty Church, Ghana is founded by Rev. Anim-Nketia, the General Overseer. The church has over 30 branches nationwide.
