Myjoyonline.com is learning that residents of Adentan in Greater Accra have mounted roadblocks and are burning tyres in protest of lack of footbridges on the Madina-Adentan Highway.
Things came to a head Thursday afternoon after report that a student of the West Africa Senior High School (WASS) was knocked down.
Myjoyonline.com cannot independently verify the condition of the student who was knocked down on her way home from school.
Officers of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) were on the scene to put out the fire while the police are yet to get to the scene to control the irate residents.
There is massive traffic on the road as one part of it has been closed due to the action of the angry residents.
Below are pictures and videos from the scene.
