Emirates’ iconic A380 aircraft Tuesday operated a one-off flight to the Kotoka International Airport.
The airline’s flagship double-decker became the first-ever scheduled A380 service to Ghana, with Emirates partnering with the airport to test its operations and infrastructure to accommodate an A380 service.

The Emirates A380 flight was operated by Ghanaian-born Capt Solomon Quainoo, and UAE national First Officer, Faisal Alhammadi.
Captain Quainoo becomes the first pilot to successfully land the biggest passenger aircraft at the Kotoka International Airport.
