Eden Hazard (£10.6m) has enjoyed a strong start to this season’s Premier League campaign. The Chelsea forward seems to be getting better week by week.
The explosive winger scored the second goal of the game as Chelsea defeated Bournemouth 2-0 at home. Hazard finished GW4 with an incredible 11 points.
In 4 matches, Hazard has scored two goals and two assists under new coach Maurizio Sarri. This sees the Belgian winger level with Salah (£13.0m) on the midfield standings as both players sit in fourth place.
As things stand, Hazard is the only midfielder to have either scored a goal or an assist in each of the opening four game weeks.
Hazard has played 223 minutes so far this season and he has created 10 chances and played 10 shots in those minutes – this makes him one of only two midfielders to produce double figures in both those categories.
The other midfielder is Salah who is owned by over 50% of squads whilst Hazard is just owned by over 18% of squads.
Compared with last season, the Chelsea no 10's attacking potential is improving this season.
So far, his minutes per shot has improved from 34.3 to 22.3, while his minutes per chance created is up from 29 to 22.3.
He also has the schedule to maintain his early form.
Chelsea face Cardiff City, West Ham United and Southampton in the next four game weeks.
This suggests that Hazard can continue delivering goals and assists and possibly even challenge Salah as the go-to premium midfielder for 2018/19.
