After a week of cheers, tears and lucky slip through for some of the schools, the surviving NSMQ contestants have taken a break to have some fun.
The students, camping on the University of Ghana, took time off the books to engage in various recreational activities.
Some played the mind game of Chess while others played board games like Ludu and checkers. Some of the boys couldn’t resist the temptation of getting themselves dirty in the loved game of football.
Some decided to bring the quiz to the field by engaging in the speed game of musical chairs which brought out the different types of speed.
After the fun is over, however, the contestants will be left with the fun-filled knock out stage in the competition.
After the balloting Saturday evening, the stage is set for the 1/8 stage of the NSMQ.
The 27 seeded schools will be hoping to carry on with their record but the 36 winning schools all seem prepared to continue their winning ways.
The 18 high scoring losing schools have by now corrected their mistakes and will be hoping to write a better story in this stage.
The contest starts Monday morning with KNUST SHS vs Sunyani SHS vs Ada SHS expected to set the ball rolling.
