The Ghana Physiotherapists Association (GPA) has said the man spotted in the Anas exposé collecting bribe to approve an injured player to start in a U-17 game for Ghana is not a physiotherapist.
The Association in a statement copied to Myjoyonline.com said it is disappointed that a physiotherapist will engage in such unethical act thus its decision to investigate the matter.
“Our findings, however, revealed that the person in the video is called David Nhyriaba Tetteh and GPA can say with certainty that he is NOT a physiotherapist as alleged in the video,” the statement said.
GPA further urged Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI to do further checks and review their publication.
“…the GPA would also entreat the general public to be cautious when engaging anyone to offer the services of a physiotherapist,” it said.
Undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas recently released a piece detailing the rot and corruption in Ghana Football Association.
The video featured former GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi and other GFA officials, referees and other football administrators collecting bribe monies to either skew the matches or to manipulate selection into the senior national team.
