The Ghana National Chamber of Licensed Banker to Banker Lotto Operators and Agents wants the government to go ahead with plans to regulate the sector.
The Chamber, under the leadership of Frank Adjei, says as good citizens, its members support government’s proposal to institute a license fee of GHS 1 million.
“We would like to commend Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) for the modernisation of Lotto business in Ghana by 1. Giving opportunity to Banker to Banker Lotto Operators, Agents and Writers to be registered and license under PPP initiative. 2. Scrapping taxes on lotto. 3. Introducing NLA owned Platform 4. Implementing the E-Kiosk project,” the Chamber said in a press release.
The newly formed Ghana National Chamber of Licensed Banker to Banker Lotto Operators and Agents, the umbrella body for private lotto operators, was founded by Mr Frank Adjei and has about 200 lotto agents, 170 lotto sub-agents and over 150, 000 lotto writers across Ghana.
The Chamber recently issued a press statement to announce its decision to pay the license fee.

Government should ignore the Nation Wreckers Kicking Against the NLA Licence Fees and E-Kiosk Project
The Ghana National Chamber of Licensed Banker to Banker Lotto Operators and Agents under the leadership of Mr. Frank Adjei is ever ready to support and work with the Lotto Operators, Agents and Writers who are not able to afford the payment of the License fees approved by the Board of the National Lottery Authority(NLA).
As good citizens of Ghana we have to do everything possible to support Government with our licenses fees.
We would like to commend Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority(NLA) for the modernisation of Lotto business in Ghana by:
1. Giving opportunity to Banker to Banker Lotto Operators, Agents and Writers to be registered and licensed under PPP initiative.
2. Scrapping taxes on lotto.
3. Introducing NLA owned Platform
4. Implementing the E-Kiosk project.
However, the doors of Ghana National Chamber of Licensed Banker to Banker Lotto Operators and Agents under the leadership of Mr Frank Adjei are open to lotto operators, agents and writers who are ready to work with us due to their inability to pay the license fees approved by the Board of NLA. We will assist such operators, agents and writers to pay their license fees to the NLA and subsequently work for us.
We are urging the Board of NLA, Security Agencies and Government to take action on our petition regarding the arrest of Nigerians, Chinese and other foreign nationals operating lotto in Ghana.
Any group of people kicking against the registration and license fees for Banker to Banker Lotto business are Nation Wreckers and we would like to entreat the media, Government and general public to ignore such characters.
.....Signed....
Mr. Frank Adjei
Founder/Leader & Executive Chairman
