The 2016 Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, Elorm Adalah, known on stage as E.L, claims he lessens his lyrical contents to suit the mass market.
The ‘Koko’ hitmaker says the masses most often have difficulties in comprehending his depth hence he is persuaded to produce music to suit the market.
E.L tells JoyNews’ MzGee, he does not consider the act of toning down on his lyrics as bad but a blessing.
“I feel myself most of the time having to damp it down and that’s not a bad thing because you have to consider what you want to achieve in terms of making music and expressing yourself to a wider audience and you have to think about how the wider audience can understand,” he said.
“Most of the time, I am like 'if I say it this way, them no go ‘barb’ [they won't understand]'. I could go as deep as anybody,” he added.
