Press freedom may mean nothing until it is curtailed. Those who tell other people’s stories understand the consequences of the absence of press freedom.

As the world gears up to commemorate the day on May 3, Joy News turned the microphones over to its listeners to assess the media’s ability to keep those in power in check. 

This year’s celebration is on the theme is 'Keeping power in check, media, justice and the rule of law”.
