Visa racketeering scandal surrounding the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia has claimed another government appointee following the suspension of the Board Chair of the National Sports Authority.
In a press statement released Tuesday, President Nana Akufo-Addo announced the suspension of Kwadwo Baah Agyeman, a former Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North.
The suspension adds to two more top officials - Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Pius Enam Hadzide; and the acting Director General of the National Sports Authority, Hon. Robert Sarfo Mensah.

They have been implicated in a visa fraud that saw at least 50 Ghanaians show up in Australia for the games and holding themselves as journalists.
Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang was the former Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North, but he was beaten by Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi in the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary election in 2015.
The one-term MP was an active member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Youth and Sports.
