To whom it may concern
Dear churches/event organisers
It is against the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA)’s Premises Maintenance By-Law of 1995 section 76 of the Local Government Act, 1993 (act 465) to deface any wall or paste anything on public facilities.
Posters publicizing your impending festival of miracles to mark your 35th anniversary in ministry have been indiscriminately pasted on walls, fences, bridges, floors, bins, etc. all over the city such that it has become an eyesore which clearly makes it illegal as per the law quoted above.
Being a Christian organization and a minister of the Gospel held in high esteem, it was, therefore, least expected that you overlook the laws of the land and engage in such an act just to promote your event.
The AMA recently (January, 4) spent the nation’s money and resources to rid the city of such posters and just after they finished or even still working, you have begun in such a manner.
I strongly believe that although it is a Christian programme to advance the work of God, God will not be happy or condone such a behaviour. God in his word made us custodians of his creation and so we are expected to take care of it and not destroy it. His creations are not just the natural things, but the things made by man through the knowledge and wisdom he gave them.
So in all humility, I will urge you to correct the wrong committed by you or on your behalf by taking down all the posters after the programme and desist from doing what you have done, in the future. And also help spread the word of cleanliness and obedience to the laws of the nation through your sermons.
There are many ways in which the programme can be advertised in this modern day without defacing any property and I very well believe that your church is endowed with many intelligent people who can help with that.
