The Akuafo Hall in the University of Ghana will be bustling with activities in the coming days following the launch of the Junior Common Room (JCR)’s 60th Week Celebration.
The celebration christened ‘WoGbejeke’ will span Sunday, October 8 to Saturday, October 14.
JCR President Yuri Nyamful told Myjoyonline.com activities lined up for this year’s celebrations are aimed at developing the students.
He said the JCR and Senior Common Room (SCR) members were extensively consulted during the long vacation before the activities were fashioned out.
"It will be one of the best in the 60-year history of Akuafo Hall," Mr Nyameful said of the celebration.
The activities outlined for the celebration include:
(a) Launch and Gospel RockShow on Sunday, October 8
(b) Blood Donation and Legon Speaks on Monday, October 9
(c) Women's Platform on Tuesday, October 10
(d) Career Talk on Wednesday, October 11
(e) Arts and Craft and Kejetia vs Makola on Thursday, October 12
(f) Islamic Dialogue and African Night and Fashion on Friday, October 13
(g) Adinkra Durbar and Artiste Night on Saturday, October 14
