UK-based Ghanaian gospel musician, Sonnie Badu has advised organisers of awards schemes to do their homework well before venturing in any such initiatives.
The musician believes whiles awards are good, there is a high possibility of they causing unnecessary confusion between persons the awards are supposed to celebrate.
The ‘Baba’ hit singer observed that it is the joy of any musician to be recognised for their hard work especially when it is done by a credible institution.
In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Sonnie Badu, who has been nominated in four categories - ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Gospel Artiste of the Year’, ‘Gospel Song of the Year’, and ‘Album of the Year’ in this year’s Ghana Music Awards - had some advice for awards organisers.
