A former headmistress of Kumasi Girls Senior High School has donated education materials worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the Kwarteng Ankomah Senior High School in Tanoso.
Madam Mary Kraa made the donation as the school launches its SRC week Tuesday.
The educationist who is a native of Tanoso under the Techiman Municipal Assembly was the special guest of honor for the occasion under the theme "Quality education, key to a successful life".
In her address, she shared some of her 50 experience as a teacher which motivated her to donate the items to the school.
She donated thousands of textbooks including science, literature, business and arts course books.
The donation also included about 6,000 answer booklets, 1,000 answer sheets and 8,000 graph sheets for aid the school in their preparation for examination.
Madam Kraa advised the female students to be careful of men who are out to destroy them by playing with their education.
"Some men are well trained to use and dump you anytime, anywhere," she warned.
"When you drop out of school today, tomorrow you will rot and they will dump you because you will not be their match after their degrees and professions," she added.
Headmaster of the school Nyaman Solomon thanked the former headmistress for her kind gesture to the school and called on other parents, stakeholders, NGOs, and philanthropists to be supportive of the school's needs.
He highlighted that the school needs such materials to attain academic excellence.
Also present at the function was Dr. Agyeman Badu, former education director of the Ghana Education Service.
