June U.S. jobless rate down to 6.1%, nonfarm jobs up 288000

The U.S. economy created a larger-than-expected 288,000 nonfarm jobs in June while the jobless rate fell 0.2 percentage point from the previous month to 6.1 percent, the lowest since September 2008, Labor Department data showed Thursday. Read Full Story
