The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has rescheduled the Gold Stars’ Matchday 14 clash with Medeama following Medeama’s contribution of five players to the Black Galaxies team for their international friendly against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.
Players including goalkeeper Felix Kyei, defender Kamaradini Mamudu, midfielders Prince Owusu and Salim Adams, and Kelvin Nkrumah, have been named in the 20-man squad for the match.

Ibrahim Tanko’s side was initially scheduled to face Gold Stars on Sunday at Dun’s Park in Bibiani. However, a statement from the Football Association has confirmed that the match will now take place on Wednesday, December 31.
Additionally, Medeama’s Matchday 15 Western Derby at home against Basake Holy Stars has also been moved from Friday, December 19, to Monday, December 22, 2025.
Apart from the Gold Stars versus Medeama SC postponement, the rest of the Matchday 14 games will go on as arranged, with Heart of Lions expected to kick-start the games with a home clash against Aduana FC at the Kpando Stadium today at 3:30 pm. It will be a keenly contested game as both sides chase top-half positions on the league table with eyes firmly fixed on the prize.
Following tomorrow at the University of Ghana Stadium at 4 pm is the clash between Hearts of Oak and Nations FC. The Phobians have struggled in recent games, dropping vital points in matches they were expected to win. They lost last Wednesday to lower-tier side True Life Academy in the MTN FA Cup competition and went on to lose 2-0 to Karela United in the league.
Tomorrow’s clash represents another opportunity to bounce back, but Nations FC can scupper that ambition. They have been a thorn in the flesh of the Phobians in their short life at the elite level and are capable of worsening the plight of the Phobians. Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and his charges must, therefore, be ready for another difficult outing that could test their readiness to continue with the charge to be counted among the title contenders.
On Sunday, Asante Kotoko will lead the charge of clubs aiming to return to winning ways after losing their Matchday 13 games. Kotoko lost to Hohoe United and will vent their spleen on struggling Dreams FC when they clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
At the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem United will deepen the woes of bottom-placed Eleven Wonders; Swedru All Blacks are favorites against Vision FC at the Swedru Stadium, while Basake Holy Stars welcome FC Samartex 1996 to the AAK II Sports Arena.
The Golden City Park will be another center of attraction when Berekum Chelsea host Hohoe United, while Young Apostles FC host Karela United FC at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
