Delegates and party members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the Sagnarigu Constituency of the Northern Region have unanimously endorsed the Northern Regional Director of the School Feeding Programme, Mrs Felecia Tettey, as the NPP parliamentary candidate for the 2024 general elections.
This is the second time she is contesting on the ticket of the NPP as the parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
Addressing the delegates and party supporters at a mini party meeting here in Sagnarigu on Wednesday, she said her unanimous endorsement signified the kind of love the party members had for her in the constituency.
“The stalwarts, the rank and file of the party leadership trust me to deliver that is why they made me to go unopposed,” she stated.
Mrs Tettey who was also former Northern Regional Vice Chairperson of the NPP stated that going unopposed showed her caliber and commitment to the party.
She added that since the creation of the constituency, she was the first NPP parliamentary candidate who won more votes for the party in the 2020 general elections.
Mrs Tettey said the people of Sagnarigu over the past years have been voting for NDC, but had nothing to show in terms of development.
“My footprint is everywhere in the constituency since 2020 elections till now, I have not rest at all, I’m always in the constituency to ensure that they get the needed development,” she said.
The Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mohammed Baatima Samba, described the performance of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in Sagnarigu Constituency as remarkable.
The Chairman told the members of the party to close their ranks and forge ahead in unity to snatch the seat from the opposition NDC for the first time.
