Mr Darko adressing the gathering
The Ghana Community Network Services Limited (GCNet), says it will introduce an enhanced trade facilitation platform in March this year.
New modules are being added to the platform while the already existing ones are being enhanced.
Mr Emmanuel Darko, an Executive Director and Deputy General Manager of GCNet speaking to the media after the company held its annual thanksgiving service at the head office in Accra on Friday said the new facilitation tool would address gaps in areas of revenue mobilisation that had been identified.
He said the company would also engage with policy makers, transit traders and other stakeholders by getting them to know the functionality of the systems that GCNet had deployed.
“GCNet commits itself to supporting government revenue mobilisation agenda and to ensure that revenue is enhanced as well as support government’s ability to introduce new measures to boost revenue, generate employment and contribute significantly to economic growth,” Mr Darko said.
Clad in white attire, the service brought together staff of the company, who prayed and danced to show appreciation to God for how far He had sustained and protected them in 2018.
Mr Drako said the thanksgiving service was instituted to create an opportunity to express gratitude to God for His bountiful blessings on the company.
He said although 2018 was quite challenging, GCNet did its best to support the government’s revenue mobilisation agenda to enable the revenue authorities to realise their target.
“We did our best in 2018. It was quite challenging operationally but we tried to support the government’s revenue mobilisation target,” he said.
Reverend Daniel Asiedu who preached the sermon entreated individuals and corporate bodies to acknowledge God in every aspect of their lives.
He said the best for GCNet was yet to come as they continue to acknowledge God for his mercies, goodness and His Lordship over the earth.
There were intercessory prayers for government officials, GCNet officials and the company as a whole.
