For almost six years, little Anita Yaa Agbley has been indoors because she is suffering from a medical condition that makes it impossible for her to speak or move around like other children.
Her head has grown big and her 28-year old unemployed mother Ms. Comfort Ansah told the Ghanaian Times that because of the situation at hand she is unable to work or go anywhere except the church where she finds solace.
The mother of the girl, who was a beverage seller said she observed her daughter’s head had started growing abnormally big when she was only three months.
Unable to raise an amount of GH¢2,000 for a surgery at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital and as the health of the child was deteriorating, the father of Anita, MacDonald Agbley, a pump attendant abandoned them.
Ms. Ansah said after four years of resorting to herbal medicine and prayer camps with no improvement, she decided to go back to the hospital,and she was told the situation has worsened.
She is therefore calling on the public to assist her financially to seek medical attention for her daughter so that she can go to school and play like other children and also enable her to work.
She expressed appreciation to the Kingdom Prayer Ministry for supporting her weekly with an amount of GH¢30 to enable her take care of herself and her daughter and called on the public for more support.
