Algeria’s dependable goalie Kahina Takenint (left) has a tough task tonight
HEAD coach of the Fennecs of Algeria, Radia Fertoul of Algeria, has predicted a tough game against the Indomitable Lionesses this evening.
Algeria will kiss go bye to the tournament should they lose this evening and this makes the tie a very Herculean one for the North African side.
“We have 11 new players in the side who are learning the trade but that is no excuse. We are focused and will remain same and make sure we get something out of today’s game,” Fertoul told the media ahead of the game.
According to her, it would be one of the most difficult games for them but in order to stay in the tournament, they would have to dig deep into their reservoir to pluck a win.
Unlike the Cameroonians, a win for them today will all but ensure their qualification to the next stage of the tournament and this, skipper of the side Christine Manie, is believing would be the case after full time.
“We are not here to underrate any team at this tournament. With what we have seen in the tournament so far, you would underrate your opponent at your own risk.”
Cameroon will face Ghana on Friday in the final round of games, while Algeria take on Mali.
